LegalForge is a small project that publishes free, fill-in-the-blank legal document templates: non-disclosure agreements, bills of sale, promissory notes, powers of attorney, last wills, contractor agreements, and LLC operating agreements.

Our goal is simple: give people a private, no-cost starting point for common documents. Every generator runs entirely in your browser, so the details you type never leave your device.

These templates are not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney. Laws differ by state, and a lawyer can tailor a document to your situation and catch issues a template cannot.

The reference pages on this site summarize public, general information about state rules for common documents. They are written to help you ask better questions, not to answer them for you. A qualified attorney remains the right source for your specific case.

We built LegalForge because many people need a basic document once and should not have to pay a lawyer or hand their details to a server just to get a draft. The tool needs no account, no download, and no upload.

Our editorial standard is plain language and clear dates. Each legal summary notes when it was last reviewed, and we aim to keep the wording close to how the rule actually reads in practice, not how a marketing page would dress it up.

We update the legal summaries when we learn of meaningful state changes, and we date the data so you can see how current it is. If you spot something outdated, tell us and we will review it.
